There are so many different web hosting companies and many of them offer quality service. I would have to say though one of my overall favorites would have to be GoDaddy.com. They are one of the largest hosting companies around and they host the most sites (20 million) online according to Netcraft.
They own, operate and support their own hosting but what is so cool about GoDaddy.com is that they offer so many different products. They have the basic products like domain names and web hosting but then they offer so much more and a domain auction.
In addition to this they are probably the most popular web hosting company with their cool television commercials during the Super Bowl and Rose Bowl. They have celebrity spokes persons to promote the site like NASCAR drivers Brad Kesclowski, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Danica and Poker Star Venessa Rousso.
